Gin Clear Charters is here to help you experience the stunning waters of
Palm Beach. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain R.J. can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and whatever else takes the bait. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. R.J. also offers kite fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll find yourself aboard a 38’ Smith Express with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
