Your offshore fishing trip will usually start by catching small Trevallys to use as bait for Tuna.Then, once your bait tank is well stocked, you will head out to the fishing grounds. As you relax the mate will prepare the ballyhoos, and will deploy the outriggers to give you a seven line trolling spread. At the same time, the captain will drive you out to the best spots to fish for huge Yellowfin Tuna weighing anything from 20 to 100 kilos (over 200 pounds), large Mahi Mahi, and unforgettable Blue, Black, or Striped Marlin or Sailfish. If you want to mix up the fishing styles, you can then change location and try throwing poppers nearshore for Roosterfish, Trevallys and Cubera Snappers, or jigging for giant Groupers in the rock formations below the surface.
