Tampa Bay is famous for its superb year-round fishery, where the combination of light tackle, shallow water, and live and artificial bait makes for explosive strikes and drag pulling fun. Florida Guides Association members, Captains Christian Minami and Kenny Smith, are eager to show you what it’s all about!
Fishing aboard a brand new 22’ Tidewater bay boat, the crew is well equipped to access the inshore waters of Tampa Bay and the surrounding area. The boat is fitted with a 150 HP Mercury engine, allowing it to travel quickly to the best fishing spots. The trolling motor allows it to approach the fearful inshore species quietly.
You’ll fish using Penn and Shimano gear, with both live bait and artificial lures to attract your target species, depending on the conditions and your wishes. The crew will be happy to clean and fillet your catch at the end of the day, should you want to take it home for a tasty dinner.
The crew primarily fishes for the most sought after inshore species of western Florida – Snook, Redfish, and Speckled Trout. They can also target Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Tripletail, and Jack Crevalle.
Everything you need for a productive day on the water will be provided for you, including fishing licenses, tackle, bait, ice, cold drinks, and snacks. All you need to bring is a pair of polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and suitable clothing and shoes for a day on the water.
Join Inshore Society and explore some of the richest inshore waters for a great fishing adventure!
