Texas Tarpon Adventures

Spend the day with Texas Tarpon Adventures and find out what fishing in San Leon is all about!

These waters are known for Tarpon, Redfish, Cobia, Blacktip Shark, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Fly fishing is welcome, however, you will need your own fly gear. You can keep some of the fish you catch, assuming they’re legal to harvest.

Your vessel for the day is a 24’ Blazer Bay center console with a capacity for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Blake will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.

You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now’s the time to experience fishing in San Leon for yourself, with Texas Tarpon Adventures!
