Book your next trip with New Orleans Best Charters and find out what fishing in New Orleans, Slidell and/or Hopedale is all about. Your guide for the day is Captain Daniel, who has been fishing since he was four years old.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead, Crab, and anything else that bites.
Capt. Daniel welcomes children aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your day begins aboard a 24’ Sportsman bay boat with space for 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Daniel has rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. The Captain will have water on board, but if you’d like to bring other drinks, you can. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
