Florida Live Fishing
There’s a fish with your name on it in Key Biscayne and Florida Live Fishing will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Ricardo is prepared to put you on fish.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bluefish, Black Rockfish, Bonefish, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Jack Crevalle, and more, depending on when you go. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your adventure begins aboard a 24’ Carolina Skiff with space for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Florida Live Fishing!
