Spend the day with RocketCity Charters and get hooked on fishing in the Space Coast! Having logged many hours on waters, Captain Joseph is prepared to put you on fish.
Local species include Spotted Seatrout, Bull Shark, Snook, Speckled Trout, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Black Drum, Redfish, Tarpon, and more with any luck. On these trips, it’s common to use light or heavy tackle. Capt. Joseph also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Capt. Joseph runs a 22ft Pathfinder Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included!
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Family of 3 came to visit Florida, from Colorado. 4+ days with only 1 completely planned. As a last minute venture we decided to go with RocketCity Charters for a short fishing expedition. Early morning, beautiful sunrise, cool temps, glass water, and amazing fishing! Joseph was a fantastic guide. Friendly, personable, professional, and highly knowledgeable. I know fishing is never guaranteed, but he put us in all the right spots, and we walked away with some awesome catches, big smiles and unforgettable memories. We had the absolute best time with him. We decided to keep a fish we caught and he gave us the excellent recommendation to take it to Rusty’s restaurant, in Port Canaveral, where they will cook it up for you! Another amazing experience! Joseph’s dedication and passion for fishing make him highly recommendable. Most happy with our experience!

Son's words: Captain Joseph was a very thoughtful and patient person who helped me through the process of fishing and was very thorough in teaching me and my dad to both fish and fillet.
Dad's words: Captain Joseph is a great teacher, he led us to the kind of fish we wanted, knew exactly how to catch them. He is very patient in his instruction as we fumbled the casting at the start and lost bait. By the end of the trip, we were casting significantly better. We caught and released quite a few different fish, we managed to bring home three good sized snappers for dinner, and made great memories. We will definitely be booking again, thank you!

Florida Father & Son Fishing trip

Great Morning Fishing
3 Hour Trip - Inshore/Nearshore(AM) on July 2, 2025 • 2 adults
Captain Joseph contacted me the day before our scheduled trip and asked if we would like to meet earlier which was perfect. The directions to the boat ramp were very easy to follow and Captain Joseph was there with the boat ready to go at 6:30am. It was a little windy and finding tarpon wasn't easy, so Captain Joseph pivoted to some old school fishing and dropped anchor in an area that he said is usually good for Redfish. Withing a few minutes of our first cast my son caught a 5-7 pound redfish. We ended up catching another of those and I got a 15-17 pound Black Drum. Winds hampered us a little, but still a beautiful morning and catching a few fish certainly isn't a bad way to start the day. Would highly recommend Captain Joseph. Very knowledgeable, clean boat and good equipment.

Fishing was great, catching was even better! Multiple snook all around plus a shark and ray. Absolutely a great time and well worth the cost and tip.
We expected to spend time going to a fishing spot but we had our lines in the water within 10 minutes or less and the first fish was caught 15 minutes within leaving the dock.
The scenery was amazing and we were lucky enough to see a rocket launch from the best view possible.
Joseph was friendly but not overly chatty. He’s a younger captain but he took time to tell us some of his history and experience - backing it up with fish. He was patient with us and our relative inexperience - taking over if we asked but let us do as much as possible.
We had a great time and have already recommended him to others.
