Pond Predator Fishing Charters

19175 Angler Avenue
Lake St. Clair ON, Canada

Pond Predator Fishing Charters are based on the shores of the beautiful Lake St Clair, a huge body of water that is known as the ‘Muskie capital of the world’ thanks to its impressive population of bait fish that draws large numbers of Muskie to the area from June to November.

You will be fishing aboard a 27 ft Sportcraft boat that can accommodate up to five anglers. Powered by a 300 HP Mercury engine, the boat can cruise at up to 27 knots, allowing you to get to Capt. Nick’s secret Muskie spots fast. The boat is equipped with a variety of amenities to enhance your fishing experience, including a GPS, fishfinder, sonar, and VHF radio to make sure you’re in the best possible spot to catch your target fish. With a covered seating and dining area on board, you will be protected from the elements throughout your trip.

Captain Nick uses Shakespeare Ugly Stik Tiger® rods and Okuma reels to make up his 14 rod spread that covers 200 ft. He primarily targets Muskie, with more than ten caught daily in season. In fact, it’s not uncommon to catch up to 30 fish with Pond Predator, who have been marking the species’ spawning hot spots on their GPS for years, meaning they will not waste time getting you to the fish. Muskie is a famously difficult and rewarding fish to catch, and Pond Predator Fishing Charters work extremely hard to keep you on these fast and vigorous game fish.

If you fish with Capt. Nick between April and June, you will be targeting Walleye on the Detroit River aboard an 18 ft Aluminium vessel during the species’ annual migratory run. During these trips you will use handlining and jigging techniques for an exciting Walleye experience.

All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of the trip, including lures. You must, however, purchase a valid Ontario fishing license before the trip, and bring any food and beverages you might need during the trip.

Capt. Nick grew up in LaSalle, Ontario, and has spent most of his life chasing down Detroit River Walleye and monster Lake St Clair Muskie. He is qualified in Marine Emergency Duties and Marine Advanced First Aid, and he is an Emergency Medical Responder for the Province of Ontario. With over 10 years experience sailing commercially on the Great Lakes and the Atlantic ocean, he has a wealth of knowledge behind him.
