It was a cool (bordering on cold) day in the bay with a n unusual north wind. Ryan took us to a usual hotspot for him that did not produce many bites. As soon as he recognized the problem he moved the location that delivered excellent action that allowed 5 of us to limit out on black drum as well as catch a variety of other fish (trout, reds, sheep heads). Boat and equipment were excellent, but most importantly he worked until he put us on fish!!

Ryan was great, he was knowledgeable about the area and was patient with new fisherman. I was worried about getting an old curmudgeon captain that would dictate our trip, but Ryan was personable and flexible and we had a very comfortable time.

Great day on the water, best charter I’ve been on. Boat was clean, well organized and spacious for a group of four. Captain very friendly and knows his stuff put us on multiple species of fish. Provided everything we needed to catch quality and quantity. He’s also has the best rates in town. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid fishing day. We’ll be again for another trip.

Captain was very knowledgeable of the flats and fishing spot, my whole family to include my dad at 82 years old and my wife and daughter who have never fished were very excited about this trip. Catching 25 trout, 4 red and 7 drum was the most fish ever caught in our family. Can’t wait too schedule put next fishing trip with captain Maccain.
