Ottawa River Adventures are not your average fishing trip! If you’re after adrenalin-filled adventure fishing on the world-renowned whitewater of the Ottawa River, then these guys can take you to many stunning and secluded spots hidden throughout Ottawa River Provincial Park.

These exciting river rafting and fishing trips run along the Rocher Fendu section of the river. With endless fishing opportunities in a range of habitats - large lakes, rocky shorelines, weedy bays, sandy beaches, and rapids of varying depth - the highly skilled and knowledgeable guides know whether to get you fishing on shore, or from the boat, to increase your chances of landing fish.

Their 15’ Zodiac Futura is ideal for getting around rocky shallows and lost channels, and its short stature allows it to move with ease through big rapids and tight channels. It can accommodate up to three people plus the guide, and is powered by a 50HP Evinrude outboard motor.

Ottawa River Adventures can supply you with 5-7’ fiberglass rods with cork handles, mounted with Shimano FX spinning reels. They offer half day, full day, and overnight trips, which children from 10 years of age are able to join. Target species include Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Catfish, Walleye and more, depending on time of year and conditions on the day.

Trips include full insurance, rods, reels and tackle, lures and live bait (worms), snacks and drinks, lunch on full day trips, dinner, breakfast and camping gear on overnight trips, cleaning and filleting of your catch, photos/video of trip, wetsuits, fleece sweater, splash jacket, helmet, and life jacket. Licenses need to be purchased separately.

I grew up canoeing, kayaking and fishing every other weekend on the Brandywine River in Pennsylvania. These are some of the most cherished moments of my life, spending time with family in a great outdoor setting. When I was older my passion for the river continued as I studied Outdoor Adventure and Business at Algonquin College in Ontario, Canada. I have been guiding whitewater river trips for the past 10 years in Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. Fishing has always been a great way to spend time while exploring the beauty and power of rivers.
