If fishing in Holden Beach is on your bucket list, look no further than Salty Southern Adventures. With Captain Aaron at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience. Captain Aaron has a total of 30+ years of fishing off the shores of Brunswick County. This is a Veteran owned and operated family business. When booking a trip with Captain Aaron you will have a fun-filled time on the water!
These waters are home to King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Blacktip Shark, Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bluefish, Bonito, Cobia, Sailfish, Flounder, and more, depending on when you go. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Aaron believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 28' Contender center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. The boat includes all Coast Guard-required safety equipment and more. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don't forget to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation,

8 Hour Trip – Near/Offshore (4 MAX) on October 1, 2026 • 2 adultswe had a great trip fishing today! I told him we really wanted to catch some Mahi. He lwt me know they are there but usually May-June is the best time. Right off the bat he put us right on top of Mahi! Then he took us to where the Amber Jack were all over the top of the water! My son and I had a great day! His boat and tackle were very clean and he and his crew were very polite and made the experience that much more enjoyable!

6 Hour Trip – Near/Offshore (4 MAX) on August 12, 2026 • 4 adultsCaptain Aaron was great! Excellent communication from the start regarding what could be expected and potential weather issues/plans. He was at the dock ready for us when we got there. We got extremely lucky with great weather and sea conditions to go out 10-20 miles off shore. After 4 barracuda catches (and 2 more that got away) sea sickness got the better of a couple of us and he brought us in closer to the shore, which helped, and allowed us to continue fishing and catch some spanish mackerel. We all had a great time and would highly recommend the trip! Thanks again!!!

Captain Aaron was very professional - he reached out early in week to let us know he had his eye on the weather and even called the night before to check in. We thought this communication was above and beyond and much appreciated. Captain Aaron was extemely knowledgeable and we all noticed how much he loved and respected the ocean, the marine life and the work he does. His attitude was contagious! We had a great day and caught lots of fish and even two hammerhead sharks. The boat was clean and the vibes were great! Highly recommend!

The boys had a blast and it was the perfect amount of time for young anglers just learning. Captain Aaron was very kind and great with the kids. He took us to two different spots. Would recommend to anyone, especially people with young kiddos who want to introduce their children to fishing. Not to mention, his yellow lab “Hook” who is the sweetest!!! Great family experience and would do again!

Aaon was awesome. Family of 4nwoth a 10 and 15 year old. We had a great time. Aaron took us out to the ocean and we caught some Mackeral. The kids enjoyed just being on the boat and Aaron was great company. Taught us a lot about the fish and how they migrate around the ocan. We had beautiful weather. Can't wait to come back and do mor offshore fishing!
