If you’re ready to experience fishing in Key Largo, book a trip with Anglers Choice Sport Fishing. Your guide for the day is Captain Joe, which allows you to benefit from years of local experience.
These waters hold game fish like Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Tilefish, and more, depending on conditions. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Joe can also help you try kite fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll step aboard a 40’ custom flybridge with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. You can’t go wrong when you bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Anglers Choice Sport Fishing is just a click away.
