Spend the day with Savage Outfitting and see what’s biting in Port Mansfield! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Cecil can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Flounder, Redfish, Red Snapper, Black Drum, Freshwater Drum, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. You’ll target your catch by drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Cecil can also take you Flounder gigging. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Capt. Cecil welcomes you aboard a 25’ Majek that holds up to 5 passengers. Rods and reels are not included, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Savage Outfitting!
