Abrolhos Island Charters

Connell Road
West End WA, Australia

Abrolhos Island Charters are located in Geraldton, Western Australia and offer liveaboard multi-day adventures to the stunning Abrolhos Islands. This cluster of 122 islands are located around 40 miles offshore and are home to an unique mix of marine species, in turn providing some excellent fishing conditions.

You will head out on the ‘Bella Del Tindari’, a 60ft Westcoaster fibreglass boat that has been equipped with everything you may need. It is powered by 1000HP twin turbo Detroit engines, and navigated by MaxSea GPS, VHF radio, fishfinder, and radar. The boat has a flybridge, a dive platform and ladder, and two Zodiacs that you can use for shallow fishing and island hopping. It can accommodate up to 10 passengers, and for your comfort it features air-conditioning, a toilet and hot shower, convection microwave oven, food warmer, hot plate, fridges and freezers, BBQ, iceboxes, fresh water, an enclosed back deck, a large table with seating, flat screen TV, DVD and CD players, and facilities to plug-in your iPod.

Abrolhos Island Charters use quality Fin-Nor and Penn fishing gear, as well as soft plastic baits and jigs. They target species such as Dhufish, Pink Snapper, Baldchin Grouper, Coral Trout, Sweetlip Emperor, Tuna, and Spanish Mackerel, to name a few. Their deckhand will be around to assist you, especially in landing the big ones.

You will be supplied with fishing gear, tackle, fresh bait, and ice, and the crew can fillet, bag and freeze your catch for you. Charters include all meals, snacks and drinks (BYO alcohol), and fishing licences. Snorkelling gear can be supplied upon request.

Charters depart at 4:30am from Geraldton Harbor, and you can sleep aboard the boat the night before. The air-conditioned wheelhouse and accommodation area consists of seven V-bunks (inc. one double) under the wheelhouse, and a double in the wheelhouse. Camp stretchers are also set up on the enclosed deck, perfect for sleeping in the fresh air on those balmy nights.
