Pelicanos Restaurant & Marina
Cancún QR, Mexico

Don Quino is a 38ft Bertram, with a maximum capacity of 10 guests on board, equipped with a fishing chair and brand new Penn International 30lbs and 50lbs rods. The vessel has a bathroom on board, and comes outfitted with all the fishing gear your group will need. GPS, radio, as well as fishfinder comprise the boat’s navigational amenities.

The Don Quino team is committed to providing you with a great day of fishing you won’t soon forget. For that reason, all trips include soft drinks, water, beers as well as fishing licenses for all occupants of the boat, at no additional cost.

Since Don Quino is part of a 3-boat strong charter fleet, your captain will either be Roberto Vargas, Abel or Abraham Zetina, all of them veteran captains with more than a decade of fishing experience in these waters.

Captain Zetina’s restaurant and marina Pelicanos is only 15 minutes south of Cancun - following all trips aboard Don Quino, the crew will gladly cook your catch for free at their restaurant. Full Day trips aboard Don Quino also include lunch.

Cancun is one of Riviera Maya’s most prolific fisheries. You can choose between trolling for Blue and White Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado, Sailfish and more, or opt for more family-friendly bottom fishing for Groupers, Snappers and other species.

Don Quino departs from Marina and restaurant Pelicanos in Puerto Morelos - about 30-minute drive south from Cancun International Airport.

I've been fishing all my life with my father and my family, and have been running charters for many years. I studied gastronomy and finished my college studies but my heart drew me back to the ocean. I just love fishing and thank God I have the opportunity to do this every day. This is more than just a job, it's my passion!

First class trip and experience. When we arrived in puerto morales it was raining and windy. We were there for a 10 day vacation and my fishing trip was booked for Saturday. They called in the morning to inform me the ocean was rough and gave me the option to reschedule later in the week. This was appreciated as I was fishing with my daughter. The day of trip was nice and we slaid them. The captain knows his trade and works hard the boat is great. When we returned to the dock they cooked the fish 5 different ways and we gorged. Abraham is an outstanding individual and a great cook. These are the guys you want to make memories
