Species like Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Cubera Snapper, Wahoo, Roosterfish, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year. Any fish you catch are yours to keep, so long as they meet regulations. Captain and crew can even clean your catch for you. A lot of restaurants in the area will cook it for you as well! Now that’s dinner!

Trips with Salt Hunt Charters are child-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

You’ll be casting lines from a 32’ Boston Whaler with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t leave home without sunglasses, or sunscreen (non-spray). It is also recommended to bring your towel, a light rain jacket, and extra dry clothes. Sodas and Beer are included, free of charge. There will be some light snacks provided on board. Full-day charters provide a light lunch.
