Get the most out of your seaside vacation in Costa Rica by taking a fishing trip or sightseeing cruise with Samara Deep Sea Fishing. Located just 200 meters from Hotel Villas Samara, the company aims to show you the best deep sea and inshore fishing the area has to offer, as well as providing a comfortable base from which to watch the passing dolphins, turtles, and possibly even migrating whales.
Your trip will take place aboard the ‘Ballyhoo’, a classy 23 ft Proline offshore boat that is sturdy enough to fish the deep waters while providing a smooth and comfortable ride closer to shore. The boat almost seems to be bigger than its 23 ft length, with plenty of space for up to ten people on board. It is powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and also has a 15 HP back up engine for extra safety and trolling. With a T-Top for shade and a windshield at the front of the boat, you will be protected from the elements throughout your trip.
While Samara Deep Sea Fishing specialize in trolling for big game fish, they also offer inshore fishing expeditions, as well as bottom fishing. Your trip could involve jigging, popping, and spearfishing, and snorkeling equipment is provided on board in case you would like to take a dip while on your trip. Offshore, your target species could include Marlin, Sailfish, and Mahi Mahi, while inshore charters could result in you catching the striking Rooster Fish, small Tuna species, and the speedy Wahoo. But it’s not all about the fishing: you can also hire the boat for a romantic dolphin watching cruise at sunset, or take your kids out for a fun nature watching and snorkeling tour.
Drinks and snacks are included in all trips, and day trips also include lunch. Fishing licenses will also be supplied by the captain, who will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip.
