Jason’s Fishing Adventures
If fishing in Newport is on your bucket list, look no further than Jason’s Fishing Adventures. Captain Jason will be your guide, which means you’ll tap into years of angling experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Rockfish, Lingcod, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Crab, Sturgeon, Halibut, Albacore Tuna, and whatever else takes the bait. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be casting lines from a 25’ Raider fishing boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Jason will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures and bait.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s always wise to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is not allowed.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Jason’s Fishing Adventures!
