FUNYET Charters takes you fishing around the rich fisheries of Florida Keys. If you want to go fishing with a local seasoned captain and land a hefty catch, you’re at the right spot. Capt. John will help turn your day into a lasting memory, no matter how experienced you are.
Aboard FUNYET Charters, you’ll get to explore flats and backcountry waters and chase Bonefish, Permit, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, Barracuda, Snook, and Jack Crevalle. Hop onboard and head to the nearshore reefs and wrecks and you’ll have a chance to land Grouper, Amberjack, Cero Mackerel, Almaco Jack, and Snapper. Once you reach offshore fisheries, you’ll test your skills against Sailfish, Mahi, Wahoo, King Mackerel, and Tuna.
Capt. John has been in the business for decades and has been a fisherman his whole life. He holds two degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology and is an avid diver with extensive experience.
You will find Capt. John at the helm of his 33’ Ocean Master center console. She is powered by twin 300 HP Yamahas and can take up to six people. This boat will put you on right track and get you to the hotspots with ease. The boat also features a flybridge, a live well, an ice box, and Penn fishing equipment.
When you’re packing for the trip, remember to bring a towel, sunscreen, a cap, sunglasses, food and drinks, and water to stay hydrated. It’s also a good idea to pack rain gear just in case.
The captain will supply the fishing gear and the license, and sometimes you will stop by to collect live bait, but this depends on the style of fishing and the target species. While there are life jackets onboard, parents fishing with kids younger than six may want to bring their own life vests for more comfort.
Trips booked with more than 6 months in advance may be subject to a price increase due to changes in the fuel rates.
Invite your friends and get going. Trips with Capt. John are your gateway to some of the finest fishing in the Keys. Book your spot on time!
