Ready to cast a line in Cairns? Reelwork Sportfishing Cairns is your ticket! With Captain Gavin at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Species like Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Black Marlin, Giant Trevally, Blue Marlin, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Gavin welcomes you aboard a 34’ sportfishing boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Reelwork Sportfishing Cairns!
