Reel Safaris Charters is a company that does it all, from fishing jetties to trolling for that Marlin of a lifetime, you will always find the trip you are after. You can also fish in confidence that they have you covered, with a great, clean boat and a hugely experienced captain.

Whether you want a 4-hour stint fishing around the local jetties, or an all-day adventure 40+ miles offshore, you will find no better boat than Reel Safari’s 25’ Seacat. Her twin-hull design means she is as stable on the move as the is standing still. She comes rigged to the gills with the latest gear and tech to get you pulling in the very best wherever you are fishing.

When fishing in the bay, her high-tech electronics will help sound out the best spots in the murky inshore waters, and her stealthy trolling motor will make sure you don’t spook the fish before even getting to them. Head offshore, and the vessel really comes into her own, with a cruising speed of 30 knots to get you out to sea in no time, and outriggers for the best trolling once you get there.

But there are many great vessels fishing out of Galveston Island, what makes these guys special? Quite simply, there are very few captains with the experience and skill of Captain Chris Hayes. Fully USCG and TPWD-licensed, with full federal fishing permits, Captain Chris is as professional and reliable a captain as you will ever meet.

Captain Chris has been running charters for over 20 years, and it shows on every trip he runs. He will discuss all your options with you from the moment you book to make sure you get exactly what you are after. Once on the water, he and his skilled mate will throw themselves completely into your trip to make sure you stay hooked up all day long.

So whether you want a chance at landing Marlin, or are just looking for a fun afternoon with the family, these guys have the boat, and the experience, to make sure you don’t leave disappointed.

First of all we were told that boat would leave at 7-7:30. Capt. showed up at 8:45. An 18’  boat w 2 seats. There are 5 of us in the boat. First mate, capt, and myself w 2 guests. The boat was not his, it was rented because his was broke. We finally get out and cannot go to State water because size of the boat. Never left the bay. Then at 1:30 Capt. says he has another trip to do and we would have to start wrapping up. He brought us back to the dock at 2:30. We may have had a total of 5 hrs. fishing. I paid him in full when I got there and then we also tipped him. Very, very dissappointed. I trully feel like I was cheaten out of my trip and still had to waste my hard earned money. Also finally I booked this trip w 2 wks notice and called and text the Capt. at least 6 times , and he finally text me back the night before the trip to tell me where to be at 7 am the day of the trip. The people I took are from out of town. We all had to drive 2 hrs that morning just to get there and wait….....Horrible experience.

Got a late start around 8:15-8:30, day was overcast and current was rough. Fishing was poor. Tried several different areas and it just didn’t happen at no fault of Chris’. We understand that happens, it’s just disappointing.

Loved our trip, first time experience in chartering a boat, was not sure what to expect, but my son loves fishing and Cap. Chris was outstanding, took us to different places to catch different fish, my son wanted to land a shark of any size, however, he caught 1 large stingray that was a fighter, so the experience was awesome for him.
