Excited to cast a line in the world-renowned Kenai or Kasilof rivers? Kenai River Trout Hunter is your ticket! Your guide for the day is Captain Hunter, so you’ll benefit from years of local experience.
Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and Steelhead are all in the cards, depending on the season.
On these trips, it’s most common to drift fish using fly rods or light tackle.
Any fish within the legal limit are yours to take with you. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. Now that’s dinner!
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Also, remember to bring snacks for the kids – lucky for you, there will already be some on board on a full-day trip.
You’ll be fishing from a 19’ Sportfishing vessel with room for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
Capt. Hunter has rods and reels for you, along with flies and lures.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local sport fishing license for everyone in your group above the age of 16. This information is available online, or you can ask the captain. The only species off-limits are Rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, and Steelhead. If going on a King Salmon fishing trip you will need a "King stamp" for the days you’ll be targeting that species.
It’s recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Kenai River Trout Hunter is just a click away.
