Captain William and First Mate Jake were on point this morning. The first area we got our hooks wet the fish hit and they kept hitting hard, we landed 5 red fish within the first hour or so. Couldn’t be happier about our experience. These fisherman are very knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. Captain William responses to all my questions online were almost immediate, very impressive. If you’re looking to fish this area don’t look anywhere else, hire these guys. A+

Captain William and First Mate Jake made our experience Great. This was our first time out and they explained things to us and helped us in any way possible to make this trip Successful. He seemed to know exactly where we would find fish. They were both very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the variety and amount of fish that we caught. We highly recommend Captain William to anyone that would like a Great fishing experience. In the future we will choose them again.

William knew all of the best places to catch big fish. My son and I both caught whoppers. He and his crew mate were very patient and helpful in every way. They baited the hooks and threw them out for us. Even after we caught the fish, they took them to shore and filleted them so that we could have them prepared to eat ourselves. They were on time and patient and shared their wealth of fishing knowledge and fun facts with us. They were lighthearted and kept the adventure laid back. This was truly a Five Star day for my son and I and I would recommend them highly to anyone wanting to take a fishing charter in Saint Augustine, Florida. Old Coast Charters is the way to go.

We’re a family of four, and we (wife and I) wanted my son to have a chance to catch fish and I’m not a fisherman.  This charter was perfect.  My son caught a fish in minutes.  He was taught how to cast; how to distinguish between current and a fish on the line.  He started baiting his own line.  He was shown how to de-hook fish that aren’t good eating.  Within 20-30 minutes he was telling us what we should be doing.  My 14 year old caught fish; my wife caught fish.  That was exactly what I wanted - a low key, hands on experience where my family could get the fun and experience salt water fishing. I’d go again; this is what fishing in St. Augustine is supposed to be.

We departed promptly at our scheduled time after Captain Will and F.M. Jake introduced themselves, welcomed us aboard and asked if we were ready to have a good time catching fish. Less than 5 minutes of arriving to the first “honey hole” we were on the fish!! My son was the first angler on board to reel in a keeper Black Drum, whose was delicious for dinner that night. Captain Will and F.M. explained where we should be casting for the best opportunities to catch, and they let all of us on board do as much of the actual fishing as we wanted, casting, watching the rods for bites and actually catching the fish ourselves!!
My brother and I have gone on other Charters in the St Augustine and Miami areas, none came anywhere close to the professional, humble, accommodating experience that we enjoyed on this trip, not even close to be honest.
Will and Jake are both former Marines, they are great men who graciously shared their knowledge of fishing the St. Augustine waters with some northern fresh water anglers and we had the best time. I would give give Old Coast Charters a 10 out of 5, these guys were amazing!!
We caught a cooler full of fish as well, Snapper, Drum, Sea Bass and even the cutest puffer fish ever!!
We even saw dolphins that were swimming 10ft from the boat!!! You will be so happy that you booked this trip, great memories for our family!!
