With Captain John, you will experience some of the most majestic sights only seen on the waterways of New Smyrna Beach. You may spot Dolphins, Sea Turtles, and even Manatees along the way.
Depending on the time of year, you could target Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead and whatever else is biting.
Capt. John welcomes you aboard a 22’ Key West Boats center console boat. Your captain will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures, live bait and water bottles.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Ask and your captain can tell you more.
Cash tips for your captain, who is also your first mate are appreciated.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (preferably non-spray), hats, snacks, drinks and sunglasses. Water bottles will be available for you. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed.

First fishing trip and it was amazing!

This was my first fishing trip. My son and I have always wanted to do this and Captain John did not disappoint. He made sure we knew exactly where to meet and what time. Even made sure the weather and the ocean was in good order before hand. Took us to all the best spots he knew and we were pulling up fish left and right. He helped me to bring in a 7-8 foot 300-400lbs Nurse shark when I was losing the fight. Can’t say enough about him and this charter. I would definitely recommend to anyone to use Captain John and every time we come down for vacation I will be booking with him without exception!

John’s a great guide, friendly, layed-back and kept us fishing all day. He put us on enough fish to have a fish fry. Then put us on some huge Red Snappers. I would book with him everytime. His wife communicated all the details for the trip perfectly too! Thanks NSB Fishing Adventures!

NSB Jetty and Nearshore Fishing with CAPT John

My son and I took this trip for his birthday and have to say that it was well worth it. From the morning along the jetty to the nearshore open waters, CAPT John had us on fish all day. I highly recommend NSB Fishing Adventurs for small groups who want to land fish. While we had to toss back the big red, it was a great experience landing him. Not only did we enjoy the outing, we were eating fresh fish all weekend. Thanks CAPT John.

We didn’t catch any keepers but it was still a great day! We caught a wide variety of fish and it was fun looking at each! We had a puffer fish blow up as we lifted it from water and that was just awesome! Captain John was excellent and worked extra hard to try and get us some keepers. It just wasn’t the day for it! Boat ride was great, sights were beautiful and we had fun catching! Great memories ! Will definitely go out with Captain John !

Went 14 miles offshore on this fishing charter and had an absolute blast. We were catching fish non-stop — the time seriously flew by because of how much action there was. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through everything step-by-step. He made the whole experience feel effortless, even for those of us without much experience. Could not recommend this trip more — fun, productive, and really well-run. Would absolutely do it again!
