If you're in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Red Alert Fishing Charters. Captain Kenny will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of professional experience.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, and whatever else is biting.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your trip begins aboard a 23' Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all of the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet at the boat ramp before or after your trip. Capt. Kenny will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures and live bait.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

A Winter Win on the Indian River:

Shoutout to Red Alert Charters!
My brother and I recently had the pleasure of heading out with Captain Ken from Red Alert Charters for a winter trip on the Indian River in Melbourne, and it was an absolute standout experience.
Captain Ken completely delivered on his promise of a great day. He knows these waters like the back of his hand, and it showed. The highlights of the day included:
The Big Catch: Landing a feisty 24 lb. Black Drum that gave us a serious run for our money!
Variety: We also brought in some beautiful Speckled Sea Trout, and Mangrove Snapper, adding some great action to the day.
The Vibe: Beyond the fishing, we were fortunate to have perfect Florida winter weather and some truly fine banter. Captain Ken isn't just a knowledgeable guide; he’s great company on the boat and even had a stocked cooler for our trip.
If you’re looking for a top-tier charter in Melbourne, I can’t recommend Red Alert enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Best guided trip yet!

We have gone out with guides multiple times in numerous places but have never had a fishing guide hop out of the boat to help land a fish! We caught the biggest fish of our lives and had a blast doing it. Minus the one Snook we caught, we caught fish we had never caught before - Black Drum, Red Fish, Sheepshead. Kenny has a great personality, he was fun to be out with, took us to a lot of different sites. Well worth the trip and the time spent with him for a great trip out. We are looking forward to going out with him again and would definitely encourage you to consider him. Thanks for the memories!

Honestly, i dont know where to start as this was the absolute best fishing experience that ive had on a private charter. Captain Ken is extremely knowledgeable of the fish and the environment they live in. He knew where they were and he demonstrated that by putting us on a variety of fish to catch n cook and also some to release. Most notably was my catch of a 32 inch Red that i plan to put on the wall in my office. And by the way, im getting that done through him as well. He even jumped in the water to make sure i didn’t lose him! Just an absolute great guy that i plan to fish with every year as i come back down to visit my family in Florida. Thanks again Captain! You made our day. And if you’re reading this, book your trip today!!! Thank me later. 💯

Great day of fishing

This was our first time fishing in florida for my wife and i and what a great experience it was captain ken knows what hes doing it was windy in the morning but he still had a great spot to hide and catch some fish later we moved out to the big water and that was just as fun i cant say enough about ken as he was very professional and and a great guy to hang out with we will be back

Captain Ken was excellent from start to finish on our 1/2 day trip. Super welcoming from the moment we arrived, knowledgable, professional and entertaining in exactly the right amount. He knew the best spots and was super helpful in guiding us to be successful. Being from Michigan, our style of fishing is different than is required in FL, and Ken set us up for success by teaching us how to cast, wait, and land some great fighting fish! We could not have asked for a better guide or experience to highlight our vacation in Melbourne.
