Enjoy the thrill of fishing in San Juan Bay! Bayside Charters’ specialty is using live bait for their main target species which include Tarpon ( which can grow up to 100 pounds in the bay), Jack Crevalle, (known for the most fierce battles), Snook, King Mackerel (tasty fish that they will fillet for you to take home), Great Barracudas and other bay species.

Captain Luis was really friendly and accomodating. A fun trip even though we were unable to catch any fish as it was a slow bite. He even extended the trip to try to get us on fish at no charge. Good guy

We had a great trip starting with catching the bait (sardines) with rod and reel at the warm water runoff of the power plant.  My wife was the star of the trip by catching all three species that we were fishing for, starting with a Tarpon then the Snook and finishing with two Jack Crevalle.  Capt Frankie was a very helpful and took care of our need. Capt Frankie also gave us a bonus trip of seeing Old San Juan from the water side including the red gate, you’ll have to ask what the red gate was for.  Would we do the trip again?  Absolutely.  Again, Thank you Capt Frankie for a great and enjoyable trip. I am attaching the most important photo.
