We met up with Captain Kevin a little early and he was already there ready to go. After a quick trip across the bay he found a popular spot to catch bait fish. After a few throws of his net we were on our way fishing. He was still in the middle of setting lines when we had our first bite. A nice size tarpon put up a good fight. I had never been fishing before, and he walked me through every step of the process and even explained why. We decided to go out into deeper water, two lines with live bait and two on the bottom with Captain Kevin casting a fifth going for some jacks. My youngest son caught a small grouper and my oldest had quite a few bites but couldn’t pull anything in. When my son got seasick we decided to go to another calmer spot. We caught a couple of snooks and the occasional tree branch. Then off to the last spot where we could see the tarpon under us, we had two fish on at the same time and Captain Kevin did a great job helping us land them.
He told us he’s been fishing that bay since he was a little boy, and it showed. Overall a great experience and worth every penny.

Booked this last minute trip and customer service was excellent. Instant confirmation response and great communication by email and text. Got to the marina 15 minutes early and Capt. was all ready. Went out 15 minutes early and got some quick bait. After a couple of minutes of setting the baits, Jack Crevalle Double header! after 20 minute fight my boyfriend and I released our first jacks of our lives! Capt. Kevin says they were about 20 pounds each but I for me, they we like 40 pounds each. We then went to the back water channels and caught a nice snook instantly. Then went to look for the tarpon for the Puerto Rican Grand Slam. Capt. Kevin gave us some extra free time and 5 minutes before lines in, we hooked a 40 pound tarpon! We got the SLAM! It was an amazing experience. Never held a rod in my hand before in my life and caught lots of fish. Kevin was very friendly and taught us the entire process.
Thank you Kevin, we will never forget this trip and we are already planning on planning our next trip to Puerto Rico! By the way, that restaurant you recommended us was excellent! Nice empanadillas!
