If you are visiting Cinque Terre, you should seriously think about fly fishing for Trout and other native species in our pristine backcountry waters. Or, in the appropriate season, experience saltwater flyfishing in some of the most stunning sceneries of the Mediterranean.
I am Gianluigi, a registered fly fishing guide member of the Italian Professional Fishing Guide Association (AIGUPP) based in Monterosso al Mare, in the heart of Cinque Terre National Park. I have over 35 years of fishing experience and depending on your preference, age, and fitness I can offer you half or full-day excursions in a wide range of waters, from wild and remote creeks in search of native Mediterranean Trout to more accessible ‘club’ river sections holding good sized browns and rainbows.
During the months of August and September, I guide in saltwater targeting juvenile Mahi Mahi, False Albacore, and Frigate Tunas off the Cinque Terre coast, and in the winter months, I have access to very good private waters populated with large and powerful Rainbow Trout.
I will take care of all logistics including national fishing license, daily fishing tickets where required, and pick up/drop off off at your hotel.
I provide good quality rods and reels and a broad selection of local flies. Waders/boots are also available upon request
My half-day excursions include snacks/drinks, and a box lunch comes with the full day (option to eat in the country restaurant at extra cost).
Any time of the year, just drop me a line and I will do my best to give you an unforgettable fishing experience!
