If fishing in Old Orchard Beach/ Saco Maine is on your bucket list, look no further than Keeping It Reel Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Dylan can tell you all about them.

These waters are known for Striped Bass, Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, Porbeagle Shark, Blue Shark, Bluefin Tuna, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, you can expect to spin using light or heavy tackle.

Sharks are their specialty. They love introducing anglers to big game fishing in Maine. There are lots of toothy critters in these waters. They average several sharks per trip, with many in the 200-300lb range. These only run on weekends July 1- September 10, so book early.

Keeping It Reel Charters welcomes kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites!

Capt. Dylan will bring you aboard a 23’ Pro-Line sportfishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now, time to hit the water with Keeping It Reel Charters!
