If you're ready to go fishing in Tamarindo, book a trip with Wired Sportfishing. With Captain Waco at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Local species include Amberjack, Broomtail Grouper, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Roosterfish, Mackerel, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and more, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 32' Pursuit sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are supplied for you. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
Visa and mastercar are acepted, but i will be a extra charge of 13% IVA tax.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn't you rather be fishing with Wired Sportfishing?

Boat, service, and fishing were exceptional with Wired Sportfishing
Half day trip PM on January 3, 20265 adults
Thank you to the entire Wired team! They were waiting for us right on time and had a cooler stocked with water bottles, juice, beer, and snacks for us to enjoy. It was a truly memorable day in your company. The fishing was exceptional thanks to our captain's experience—he knew exactly where the fish were. We caught several species! Outstanding service overall, with every fish cleaned and prepared by the crew directly on the boat. All that was left to do was bring it home and enjoy an unforgettable dinner! Thank you—highly recommend this fishing excursion.

Great crew, great boat, great fishing!
Full Day Trip on January 5, 20261 adult1 child
Wow, what a trip! Gerard met us promptly at 7:30 in Tamarindo. We loaded up and we were out fiahing within 30-45 mins. Gear was top notch and he was great with my 13 yr old. Most importantly, they put us on the fish! My son had thr fight of his life and we landed a huge ~400lb. blue marlin (Gerard's estimate….not my fishing story). What an unbelievable experience! Can't thank them enough! If you're in the area and want to catch fish, Wired is the outfitter to go with!

The friendly crew had together 40+ hears of experince of fishing in Tamarindo and certainly knew how to fish the area. We caugth a 250 lb Marlin, and on the way back we did some bottom fishing and jigging. In an hour we had caugt a lot of smaller fishes but also some really nice one as well, for example a 120 lb grouper.

Wako set the first rod out and before he put the second one in we caught a really nice sailfish! That didn't make any difference. They worked really hard changing baits and trying new areas until we caught 4 yellowfin and 2 giant mahi to go with it. They also provided great food and lots of drinks.

This trip was incredible! Best fishing trip that I ever experienced. We saw giant Turtles and big groups of Dolphins which frequently followed the boat, they felt so comfortable being arround us all the time. That alone was priceless. After just observing the marine life for a while, the action started and the fish started biting. With the experience of the captain and his right hand man on board, we ended up walking away with 10 Yellow fin Tunas! That was the most successful fishing day I had ever been on. I totally recommend Wired for anyone's fishing experience and I sure will book again. Looking forward to my next Costa Rica vacation and fishing trip on this beautiful boat… Pura Vida
