Spend the day with Big One Charters, LLC and find out what fishing in Southwest Florida is all about! Captain Mike Sharpe will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Great Barracuda, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Pompano, Redfish, speckled Trout, Sharks, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Gag Grouper, Snook, Tarpon, and more inhabit these waters, depending on conditions.
During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children under 12 must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks, beer and soft drinks. No hard alcohol please!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 2022, 32' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with a GPS trolling motor, the latest state of the art electronics, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water.
All rods and reels are high quality and maintained in excellent condition.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but no hard liquor or glass bottles.

Great Day of Fishing

We had a great day of fishing with Captain Mike. We starter our day in the flats. The trout were hitting from the very get go, and after about an hour, we had 4 trout and a spanish mackerel. We spent the remainder of the day trying to find some snook and redfish. Plenty of action and got a beauty of a redfish. Captain Mike was fabulous - a great teacher and stays away from overfished areas. I highly recommend this charter!

8 Hour – Full Day Trip on April 19, 2025 • 4 adults
I chartered our trip on Saturday and due to a family emergency Captain Mike was not able to do it on the booking date. Great communication he stayed in contact and we decided on Sunday to go. Captain Mike was very informative and let us know that it would be challenging due to the weather, but he was willing to take a chance. He was able to put us on the fish with his knowledge and experience of the area. He was very friendly and was always constantly setting us up for the next opportunity. The boat was outstanding plenty of room and on a windy day going through the choppy water it felt like a Cadillac. Also, Captain Mike uses his money to give back to children with autism as well as children that don’t have fathers in their lives to help take them on free fishing trips and giving back to the community. Great Trip!

Captain Mike is friedly, knowledgeable, and patient. Our family of five (2 adults and 3 young teens) book a 6 hour tour and caught a variety of different fish in different locations. Was truely and awesome experience. Also has great equipment and a beautiful large boat.

Exciting Adventure!

We had the best day with Captain Mike! We caught a massive variety of fish, including a blue crab, puffer, and a fee species of sharks! Mike was very patient, knowledgeable and so fun to spend the day with. We would highly recommend this charter!

Had an amazing time with Captain Mike! Before going out we had a list of wants which included going to deep waters, catching grouper for dinner and fighting a shark! Captain Mike made each of those happen! He was very responsive and provided no BS assessments of his we should approach the trip. This is an annual trip for us and we will be using Big One Charters for a long as he's accepting clients!
