Hoping to cast a line in Rasdhoo? GT Fishing Maldives is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mifzal can tell you all about the local fishery.
Species like Blue Marlin, Amberjack, Skipjack Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Bluefin Trevally, Black Marlin, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Bohar Snapper, Giant Trevally, Yellowfin Tuna, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 32’ Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
Now, time to hit the water with GT Fishing Maldives!
