There’s a whole lot of rest and relaxation waiting for you in Kodiak – and, of course, fishing! Now’s the time to come and do it all, with Afognak Wilderness Lodge.
The stunning scenery here includes inshore and nearshore waters, including some spots that only the locals know about.
These waters are known for Coho Salmon, Black Rockfish, Silver Salmon, Halibut, Sockeye Salmon, Lingcod, Rockfish, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few!
During the trip you might be spinning, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Josh also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Your boat for the day is a 35’ Catamaran which includes a live bait tank, and other essentials. You’ll have the help of a First Mate on board, and please remember that tips are much appreciated!
Your trip includes the complimentary use of rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Lodging features a restroom, and more to keep you comfortable.
Your party may need to purchase a local fishing license ahead of time. You can usually find that information online, or reach out to the lodging coordinator here.
Meals will be covered by the trip price, including snacks as well as drinks, just make sure you know what to expect and communicate any dietary needs.
Lastly, be sure to get in touch with any questions you have, like what’s available on site and any essentials you should bring.
