If you’re here to make the most of fishing in New York City, look no further than Fatback Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Kyle, giving you access to years of knowledge and experience.

There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Striped Bass, Tautog, Thresher Shark, Bluefin Tuna, Flounder, Black Seabass, and more with any luck.

Capt. Kyle believes in teaching kids to fish while they’re young, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 32’ BHM Downeast with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Kyle will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures and bait.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
