Fishing around here will often see you targeting Garfish, Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Peacock Bass, Bowfin, Tarpon, Snook, Great Barracuda, and more with any luck. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Jonathan also offers fly fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s bowfishing.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You’ll be casting lines from a 22’ Carolina Skiff center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Jonathan will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
