Red Beard's Fishing – Cayuga Lake
Red Beard’s Finger Lakes Charters invites you to experience the stunning waters of Long Point on Cayuga Lake. Having logged many hours on this lake, Captain Stanley can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Perch, and Trout, and whatever else is biting. On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using light tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 22’ Starcraft deck boat with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Red Beard’s Finger Lakes Charters?
