Spend the day with Navigo Libertas and find out what the fishing in Pula is all about!
Around here the fishing is popular for Common Pandora, Dentex, Gilt-head (Seabream), John Dory, Rockfish, Scorpionfish, Sheepshead, and more with any luck. On these trips, it’s common to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You’ll be casting lines from a 22’ Omnia Nautica walkaround that can carry up to 8 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license (not included in price) , so all you have to do is
show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
