Hoping to cast a line in Ithaca? Healy Outdoors is here to make it happen!
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and anything else that bites. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Your adventure begins aboard an 18’ Lowe Dual console with a capacity for 3 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Healy Outdoors and get hooked!
