There’s a fish with your name on it in Silt and Apex Sport Fishing will help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Brandon, bringing years of angling experience aboard.

These waters are known for Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Sockeye Salmon, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Remember to bring snacks!

Your boat for the day is a 17’ Lund aluminum fishing boat with space for 4 passengers. The boat is loaded with all the latest technology and equipment that no fishing machine should run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.

Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a Colorado fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is not allowed.

A Colorado native, Brandon was born with a fishing rod in his hand. He started his journey on family trips to Blue Mesa and Flaming Gorge mostly targeting Kokanee Salmon and Mackinaw. His grandpa was a bar owner and chef who was able to turn any catch into an amazing meal. In 2007 Brandon’s family moved to a small town in Idaho. His family built a home right beside Cascade Reservoir. After cutting a lot of grass and selling many lemonades, he was able to buy his first fishing boat; a modest 12ft Plastic Sun Dolphin with a 15hp Evinrude. This boat was a dream come true! It kept him on the water the entire summer catching piles of Perch, Bass, and Sunfish. At a young age, Brandon learned how to run a small boat on big water and has perfected his craft ever since. After moving back to Colorado he went to Fort Lewis College to play football. In between class and sports, he would fish Navajo Reservoir every chance he had. Where he dialed in on how to target Northern Pike, Bass, Crappie, Salmon, and Trout. He eventually graduated with a business economics degree and started working in property management. This is when Brandon took his fishing career to the next level and learned some of western Colorado’s premier fishing lakes. He was hooked and linked up with Apex Sport Fishing to begin his full-time guiding career. Brandon now runs a 2002 Lund Fisherman with plenty of room for up to four clients. You can now find Brandon on the water sun up to sun down, and let’s face it all through the night chasing that next trophy. He shares his passion and lifetime of fishing secrets with his clients ONE-FISH-AT-TIME.
