If fishing in Freeport is on your bucket list, look no further than Charter LEGASEA. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Adam can tell you all about the local fishery.

Top targets include Black Seabass, Striped Bass, Scup (Porgy), Flounder, Bluefish, and more, depending on when you go. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Capt. Adam welcomes children aboard, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You’ll step aboard a 34’ Pursuit sportfishing boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
