You can expect to do some spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Fishing on these trips is limited to catch and release, with the exception of crappie and snakehead.
Hooked On Fishing, LLC is a kid-friendly charter service, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your boat for the day is a 19' Bass boat with space for 2 passengers. It is equiped with a comfortable fishing chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

Great time on the water!

My friend and I booked a trip with Captain Justin and we had a great time! We tried many different types of fishing and learned a lot from him. We didn’t get many bites that day, but we still enjoyed the trip and ended up catching two small largemouth bass. I’m sure the storms the night before didn’t help with the fish biting either. Justin did everything he could to try and get us hooked, but you can’t always control the fish biting. Overall it was a great experience, Justin was very knowledgeable and we look forward to the next trip!

Nothing but great feedback here. Justin was an excellent captain and covered everything I expected and more. We caught some bass which is always a plus because it's never guaranteed. The trip for me was more about FFS and the ins and outs of it. He showed me how it worked, how to control it w/ the foot pedal and even let me give it a shot. I would definitely recommend it if that is something you are looking to learn. I plan on booking another trip in the summer to hunt for suspended fish out a little bit deeper. Looking forward to the next one!

Booked a half-day fishing trip with Captain Justin. He was friendly and professional. Things were slow at first on this cold cloudy day but Justin was able to turn things around by taking us right to the fish. He is a fishing veteran and clearly knows the waters well.
The boat was clean and well-maintained with plenty of room. He provided all the gears and tackles, and even helped us with technique since we were mostly beginners. You don’t need anything else just be there and you would be guaranteed a great time.
