Lizardfish Charters and Island Adventures invites you to experience the stunning inshore waters near Swansboro.

On this trip, we allow your group or family (up to 6 people) to choose how you would like to spend your 2, 4, or 6 hours on the water. You can choose from our list of services below.

Here at Lizardfish Charters and Island Adventures, we tailor our services around your group or family’s needs. Here is a list of the services we offer:

-Fishing Charter (bottom fishing, Inshore fishing).

-Island Excursions (fishing, cast netting, shelling, finding shark’s teeth, picnicking, bird watching, swimming, snorkeling, or relaxing on an Island).

-For any services not listed, we are open to accommodate all of our customer’s needs. Please message us to inquire about any special requests.

We allow you to choose when you would like to leave and return to the docks. After booking, please get in touch with us so that you can choose/adjust the times that work best to fit your group. Children and Pets are welcome aboard!

All fishing gear/tackle will be provided, as well as bottled water. Please feel free to bring your own fishing gear and any other provisions you would like aboard our boat. Our boat is a Sundance DX20 with plenty of cushioned seating. Our boat can carry up to 8 passengers and is equipped with all safety equipment required by the USCG, cooler, and live well.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready to fish!

Incredible first fishing experience!!

4 Hour Trip – Customizable Inshore on July 23, 2025 • 5 adults

We had the best time on the Inshore Lizardfish Charter. Richard and RJ were so helpful and friendly. My kids and I had never really fished before so we just wanted to give it a shot while we were visiting NC… We got so much more than we expected from this fishing trip. We learned about the local ecology, the ICW, and about the area. They’re both so knowledgeable and genuinely happy to share their insight. We all caught lots of fish, and one of the kids caught a massive Black Drum. We stopped at an island to try to get some shark teeth and RJ had the most amazing eye for finding them! We’re so happy to have met these guys. This charter far exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommend!

Couldn’t have asked for a better trip and experience for our family

We flew in from out of town and faced multiple delays and even cancellations. Despite all that, Lizard Fish Charters was incredibly understanding—they told us not to worry and went above and beyond to reschedule our trip. Even with their own vacation plans, they made sure we didn’t miss out, which truly impressed us. Once on the boat, the experience only got better. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to ensure we had an unforgettable time. Best of all? Everyone caught plenty of fish! Fantastic, felt like having a dad

Rick and Scott I believe his name was were awesome. We had a lot of fun finding shark teeth hunting and overall a wonderful fishing experience. The crew was fantastic, great vibes and hospitality, super involved in and they want you to catch fish. I plan on coming back and doing another fishing trip with these guys, they were the best! Definitely recommend!

Perfect first experience

Captain Rick and his son, RJ, made our sons’ first fishing experience the best it could have possibly been. They clearly both love working with kids, they clearly know everything there is to know about fishing, and they were both extremely personable. We all had the best time and plan on going back the next time we are in Emerald Isle.

I couldn’t have asked for a better trip! I had a big ask for Capts Rick and Kristen and they absolutely hit a home run with every detail! They were safe with the kiddos, they helped the kiddos catch lots of fish and treated them with respect and overwhelming kindness. Capts Rick and Kristen were supportive of our younger and older kids alike, and they even helped the adults get some fishing time in!! I can’t wait to get out with them again!
