American lake guided kayak fishing

Just added to our fleet

American lake has a wide variety of fish to target, it is very calm in mornings but can get a bit sporty on weekends due to power boaters, generally we get on the water at daylight and fish kokanee until the sun hits the water, then we target trout or if the powerboaters come out to play we can hit the coves and target largemouth bass, rock bass, or perch depending on the time of the year.

These waters are known for Kokanee, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Rock bass, and Yellow Perch, with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some.

On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll using light tackle, cast for bass, or jig for yellow perch. Unlike a fishing charter where you take turns reeling in fish, this is a hands on kayak experience, I will guide you and help get you on fish as well as snap some monumental pictures of you on the water with your catch. I will show you the best spots on the lake and explain what gear we are using and why, how to read your fish finder to determine what species you are seeing, and give you knowledge you will be able to take home with you and use for a lifetime.

Capt. Tyler will bring you aboard a 12’ Hobie pro angler Kayak. It has and everything you need for a productive day on the water.
You’ll find rods, reels, net, fish finder, and tackle waiting for you.

Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license, this is a 2 pole lake so if you have your 2 pole endorsement you are welcome to double down on the action!

It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

You could keep reading this, but wouldn’t you rather be fishing with Feral Outfitter?

I grew up fishing the Puget Sound before I could even walk. As I got older I began venturing out to rivers and lakes all over the Pacific Northwest and eventually fell in love with kayak fishing. I have over 10 years of experience kayak fishing mostly for Kokanee, Trout, Salmon, Bass, and Panfish. Hobie pedal drive kayaks were what really changed the game for me and I realized catching fish with them was more fun, and actually easier than in a full-sized boat. I began renting my kayak out to curious anglers and over time rentals evolved into becoming a fishing guide. I love sharing my fishing secrets and passion for kayak fishing with my clients!
