Cape Canaveral has a fish with your name on it, so let Chad Hedrick Fishing Charters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Chad knows them forwards and back.
The fish in these waters include Black Drum, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Tripletail, and more, depending on the season. For these species, you're likely to spin using light tackle.
You'll be welcome aboard a 16' Key West flats boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It has all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures and live bait.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. All trip times can be adjusted to accommodate customers.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Special 2 hour trip for Rachel Chute on September 2, 2025 • 2 adults
We booked with Chad for the afternoon while our cruise ship was docked at Cape Canaveral. A quick Uber ride took us to the dock where Chad was ready for us. My husband fishes often, but I'd never cast a line in my life. Chad did an excellent job teaching me and providing helpful tips for my husband as well. He took us to several fishing spots and we each caught a bunch of fish of different varieties. Chad was friendly and shared his knowledge of the area while we fished. He was so gracious as I was learning how to cast. He provided cold water to drink, but I recommend bringing sun screen as you'll be out in the Florida sun. We highly recommend Chad to anyone looking for a fun fishing day for any skill level.

A Must Do!

We hired Chad as our charter while vacationing in Cocoa Beach. Right from the beginning, he proved that we made the right choice by choosing him on Fishing Booker. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and personable. He didn’t rush us when fishing and wasn’t worried about the clock. He was more than willing to beautifully fillet the fish we caught after we were done on the water. When we return to Cocoa Beach, we will DEFINITELY be booking with him again. He provided a great service and allowed us stress free fishing in several different spots. It was as if you were fishing with a life long buddy rather than a random stranger. If you want to have a great experience fishing in Port Canaveral, then book with Chad!

I ended up catching several species to include sheep head, Jack Crevalle, Pompano, Mutton Snapper, Mango Snapper, and a 34-inch Snook! Captain Chad knows his stuff. He can accommodate a party of three, but he’s perfectly suited for two or even a solo fisherman. We met as a client and business owner, but left as friends. Great Fishing Trip!

Chad was amazing! Decided to take a charter before our cruise. We caught a variety of fish, and sizable ones at that. Had a blast hooking into some hard fighting fish. He was very knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. Very quick to put a shrimp on the hook and get us untangled when needed. He is super personable and we all had great conversation.

Beautiful morning trip

Had an absolute blast! My fiancé and I went out on a 3 hour inshore trip and had so much fun. We hit a couple different spots and caught a good amount of fish. Ended the day with a great black drum which was perfect! The captain was super fun to hang around and was very personable and easy to get to know. Knew a ton about the area and was a great time to be around. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go out and have some fun fishing!
