Apocalypse Guide Service is here to show you the stunning waters of Winchester Bay. With Captain Thomas at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Black Rockfish, Rockfish, Halibut, Albacore Tuna, Crab, Lingcod, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year.

Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks to keep ‘em happy!

Your boat for the day is a 23’ Hewescraft Sportfishing boat with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials.

You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. (Please ask before bringing any of your own fishing supplies).

Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or your local sporting goods store.  Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

Apocalypse Guide Service will make it easy for you to go fishing in Winchester Bay and help you catch memories!

Fishing for Chinook and Coho Salmon in the Ocean! Trolling plug cut herring and an array of lures to get these hard-fighting acrobatic fish to bite! The rush of the drag screaming is what we love about this fishery! The great eating Salmon is a bonus! This is an excellent fishery for those who want to relax on the big pond and reel in a potentially big fish! Action is hottest in September with non-selective season but fishing is good leading up to September!

Who doesnt like crab!?!? Delicious creatures that dont take a ton of time to harvest! We soak the pots in the ocean so when you board the boat for an afternoon crabbing trap you can have confidence that out gear has been setup and is waiting for you to pull up a delicious dinner! No garuntee though! We leave the dock @4 pm and cross the bar to the crabbing grounds, we pull anywhere from 4-10 pots for limits of legal dungeness crab! Great way to get on the ocean and test out your sea legs!

Halibut trips are long days, but oh so rewarding! With an average size of around 15-20 pounds and the potential to catch a giant, this fishery is an amazing adventure from start to finish! The boat record stands at 89lbs currently caught by Captain Tom! Book a trip and see if you can beat the boat recordโ€ฆ

I have been fishing long before I can remember. In high school I found my love of Steelhead fishing and after that I always knew I wanted to be a fishing guide. I have spent every year since then studying the water, fisheries, and learning everything I could to become the best captain I can be. I served in the Marine Corps from 2007 until I was medically discharged in 2013 due to a cancer diagnosis. Unable to return to my Military career I knew it was time to move onto my first love which was fishing.
