Fish Tales Fishing Charters

CBSC Millers point
Cape Town WC, South Africa

Based in the beautiful city of Cape Town, Fish Tales Charters should be your first point of call whether you want to feel the fight of a monster Yellowfin Tuna, experience traditional handline fishing for Snoek, throw surface plugs for Yellowtail, or simply enjoy the surroundings of Cape Town, Robben Island, or Seal Island in the company of mighty Whales as you cruise around the bays and coastline.

Fishing aboard a boat that is easily transportable by land, Fish Tales Charters are not bound to fish from just one port. They operate from a range of starting points, including St Helana bay, Saldanha bay, Yzerfontein, Table Bay, Houtbay, Millers point (Simonstown), Gordons bay, Gansbaai & Struisbaai. This gives them the flexibility to go where the fish are, allowing you to make the most of your time on the water.

Fish Tales is a purpose built 28 ft Carry Cat fishing machine that is perfect for charter fishing and exploring the local waterways. Powered by two brand new 140 HP Suzuki outboard engines, the boat can cruise at up to 35 knots, a welcome pace when travelling to the offshore fishing grounds. Fully kitted out with Raymarine electronics and reliable and safe in bad weather, the boat is features plenty of seating and has a walk around cabin for 360 degree fishability.

A huge variety of species can be targeted on charters aboard Fish Tales, including Yellowfin, Bigeye, Bluefin, and Longfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail, Cape Snoek, Cape Salmon (Geelbek), Bonito, Skipjack, Marlin, Red Steenbras (Copper), Red Roman, Red Stumpnose (Miss Lucy), Cape Hottentot, Silver fish, Kabbeljou (kob), Elf, Mackerel and many more.

All the gear you will need is supplied, and you will be accompanied throughout the trip by an able deckhand and the owner and operator, Justin van der Walt, who will make sure that your experience fishing the waters off Cape Town is the safest and most rewarding on offer.

About the Charter Operator

Fish Tales Charters
Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Member since March 2016
Fish Tales was started by Justin van der Walt through an extreme love for the sport of fishing. I love fishing & thats the reason for starting a charter business, I will on most occasions join in on the fishing. Yellowfin tuna & Yellowtail on spinning or jigging gear is the best fun out there.
