Looking to cast a line in Fairview? Make it happen, with Blue Monkey Charters!
These waters are known for Walleye, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! You’ll target your catch by trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You’ll be casting lines from a 24’ Thunder Jet Alexis Pro 22 sportfishing vessel with capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed.
