Smokin Reels – Buzzards Bay (Captain Cliff)
If you plan on fishing in Fairhaven, look no further than Smokin Reels. With Captain Cliff at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Striped Bass, Black Seabass, Tautog, Bluefish, and anything else that bites. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea to keep up those energy levels!
Your vessel for the day is a 21’ Striper walkaround with space for 2 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Cliff has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You can’t go wrong when you bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Smokin Reels!
