The wild waters of Sanibel are calling, and SOFLO Shark Outfitters is here to take you to them!
Here you won’t be far from nearshore waters, including some spots that only the locals know about.
The name of the game around here is heavy tackle fishing, which is how you’ll get acquainted with these waters. You may also spin for your catch. Ricky will provide rods and reels and live bait.
Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Blue Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Lemon Shark, Nurse Shark, Tiger Shark, Bull Shark, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year.
Ricky welcomes groups as large as 20 on this guided experience. You’ll make your way to the fishing grounds on foot, so be sure to dress for current weather conditions and bring only as much as you can carry.
Expect to get in touch with Ricky before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. You’re encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring sunblock, bottled water, and sunglasses in any weather conditions.
