Cambutal has a fish with your name on it, so let Pesca Cambutal help you catch it! Our captains will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from years of local experience.
These waters are known for Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Blue Marlin, Jack Crevalle, African Pompano Jack, Almaco Jack, Broomtail Grouper, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Trevally, Wahoo, Sailfish, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Your Captain also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
You’ll step aboard a 25’ Panga that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.
