Tampa Bay Shark Fishing 

We booked the 5-hour shark fishing excursion looking to mix things up on our annual Florida vacation—and it absolutely delivered. Our group of 8 included 4 kids (ages 8–15), so we went in with realistic expectations knowing fishing isn’t always guaranteed… but we were definitely hoping for at least one shark. After a few missed bites, things got real. Sol and Canyon jumped in to guide us through reeling in not one, but TWO hammerhead sharks at the same time. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we pulled in a third hammerhead shortly after. It took about 15–20 minutes of intense reeling, switching hands, and full group effort—it was chaotic in the best way possible and such a rush. The beginning of the excursion was super laid back while we waited for bites. The kids stayed entertained building sandcastles, playing in the water, and tossing a football around, while the adults relaxed, had a few drinks, and took in an incredible sunset. It really felt like the perfect mix of beach day + adventure. A few tips: bring a cooler with snacks and drinks, pack chairs if you prefer something specific, and definitely bring activities for kids during the slower periods. Also, it gets cooler in the evening, so don’t forget a sweatshirt or light jacket. Overall, this was a 5/5 experience. Solomon and Canyon were friendly, knowledgeable, and completely dialed in when the action started. If you’re thinking about doing this—do it! And make sure your phone is charged… you’re going to want video proof of this kind of memory.

I was itching to add some adventure to our typical spring break vacation. The rest of my large family, (20 people split over 3 condos) wasn't so sure but I decided to book an off-shore Shark fishing trip. 20 years worth of Spring Breaks in Tampa and this was BY FAR the most exciting and fun of all. Captain Solomon was awesome at communicating, letting me know what to expect, and flexible. He came to us and setup on the beach in front of our Condo! The whole family had a blast, but almost all went inside after 11:00pm to go to sleep. At midnight the line took off and my boys and I fought the shark for 20 plus minutes. By the time we landed it, the rest of the family had run down and go to get in on all the fun. I would 100% recommend Captain Solomon as he made it such an incredible experience. I've been telling shark stories non-stop because everyone thought it was an April Fool's joke. Nope, this is the real deal. Do yourself a favor and throw some adventure into your vacations, you won't regret it!

Hands-down the best fishing trip I’ve ever been on! Solomon, Canyon and Seren were super professional but also friendly and down to earth — they made the whole experience fun, safe, and really hands-on. We caught several big sharks and even a few rare species I never expected to see up close. What I really loved was how the crew made it enjoyable for everyone, no matter your experience level. They were patient with beginners and still kept things exciting for the more seasoned anglers. You could tell they genuinely love what they do and wanted everyone to have a great time. If you want to catch sharks and big ones at that, book here. I’m already planning my next trip with them!

We had the pleasure of fishing with Brycen and Drew, and they were absolutely awesome. They were easygoing, knowledgeable, cool and made the entire trip a great experience from start to finish. They put us on an 8 foot bull shark and guided us through the fight and the catch. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!

the shark fishing trip was awesome! we caught 3 sharks in the 4 hours we were on the beach! 2 black tip sharks and 1 hammerhead ! the experience was exciting and our whole group had a great time. Solomon and his crew where great and very knowledgeable and i would highly recommend booking this experience with him and his crew!

Solomon and his team were great. They got us on sharks straightaway. Ended up with 10 sharks, all of which were good size at 6+ ft. We caught a mix of sandbar sharks and a bull shark. The gear was fantastic. The team did a great job of bringing the sharks in and releasing them after a few photos and videos. The drone casting was innovative and super efficient. I've already recommended this to a friend and we'll be back as well.

Everyone had a great time and our group of 6 was each able to reel in at least one shark! Would absolutely recommend Captain Weller to those looking for a great experience!

From the moment we arrived, Solomon made sure we were taken care of. He was very easy to visit with while we waited for the lines to start screaming. Every effort was made to make sure we caught. We decided to try on shore shark fishing while on spring break. I was a little hesitant to book since our group included kids 6 months to 13 years old. Let me tell you that we all had THE BEST time!!! And we even caught a Lemon shark!! It was such a fun experience for everyone. 10/10 recommend!!

Excellent trip!! Well worth the price! Did 4 hour trip caught a hammerhead and 3 blacktip shark! Will definitely do the trip again!
